I was given permission to attend Malala’s football tournament by Mudavadi – Ruto

Deputy President William Ruto has cleared the air after Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavidi and FORD Kenya’s Moses Wetangula skipped the Cleo Malala Super Cup event held yesterday in Mumias, Kakamega County.

Speaking in Mumias during the event while in the company of Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala, Ruto said that he sought permission from Mudavadi before gracing the event.

“I want to thank Cleophas Malala for organizing the Super Cup. I’ve seen the talent here and I want to thank you all once again. As a hustler, I will help you in this endeavour.”

“I also want to thank Musalia Mudavadi for helping Malala to establish the tournament. I know Malala has been wondering why I arrived unannounced. Just know that there’s a league that Musalia plays that you are not there yet. Musalia Mudavadi gave me permission to attend this event, so don’t worry,” Ruto said.

On the same day of the tournament, Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga graced the Azimio la Umoja political event held at Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega with conveners of the two events (Cleo Malala Super Cup and Azimio la Umoja) stating that they were meant to unite Kenyans.
