‘Kalonzo seems confused’ – Rigathi Gachagua

By , October 23, 2022

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua now says the government would be willing to work with Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, if he behaves.

Rigathi, while speaking in Kitui where he attended a church service at AIC Kitui Township said, however, their hands are tied as Kalonzo remains adamant and undecided on which side he would like to support.

He questioned his choices saying he only have two options; the government or the opposition.

“The choice is as clear as day and night,” he said.

Adding;

Sisi hatuna shida na Kalonzo Musyoka, tunamngoja. Nyinyi watu wa Ukambani ndio mtaamua. Ukweli ni kwamba tulimtafuta tukitaka akuje upande wetu, na yeye akarudi kwa ule mzee wa kuzimia,” he said.

Loosely translated as;

“(We don’t have issues working with Kalonzo. We are still waiting for him. Ukambani people need to decide. The truth is, we have been looking for him but he seems stuck with the opposition.)”

Recently, Kalonzo left Kenyans asking questions when he attended the Mashujaa Day celebrations event hosted by President William Ruto at Uhuru Gardens before he (Kalonzo) affirmed his position in the opposition a day later.

In a presser, Kalonzo expressed disappointment over Raila Odinga’s loss in the August 9 election.

Speaking during the burial of Stanley Aluma, the father of Homabay town Member of Parliament (MP) Peter Kaluma the former vice president highlighted the plight of a section of Raila’s supporters following the former premier’s loss in his fifth stab.

The whole country is hurting. Watu wana hasira ya kindani na watu wanataka majibu na nina amini Mungu atatupatia majibu wakati wake. Kwa nini Raila asikubaliwe awe rais wa Kenya?, karibu nitoe machozi,” he posed.
