Gachagua hosts leaders from Nyandarua County hours after engaging Kenyans on TikTok

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has hosted a section of leaders from Nyandarua County hours after engaging Kenyans on matters of national importance on his first TikTok live.
Taking to his official X account, on Thursday, January 23, 2025, Gachagua revealed that the leaders led by Nyandarua Senator John Methu paid him a visit at his rural home Wamunyoro in Nyeri County.
The second deputy president went on to say that their discussion centred around the issues affecting ordinary Kenyans adding that the current elected leaders should listen to the people.
“Nyandarua’s voice has been heard. Their grassroots representatives, whom they talk to and interact on a daily basis, Members of the County Assembly, paid a visit at my Wamunyoro Residence.
“What the common mwananchi is going through is painful; leaders must listen to the people. Your voice on what this country deserves has been heard, and I will share your views with the rest of Kenyans. The voice of the people is the voice of God,” Gachagua disclosed.

Gachagua’s online engagement
Ever since his ouster from office Gachagua has been hosting leaders at his residence and today he had his first live engagement with Kenyans on a a TikTok Live session hosted by diaspora-based digital creator Kuira Wa Kabiru.
During the live session, Gachagua addressed various topics, including the political situation in the Mount Kenya region, the youth-led (Gen Z) protests, and recent comments made by close allies of President William Ruto about him.
He further assured Kenyans of his commitment to provide candid responses to their concerns, sharing his insights on the issues affecting the nation.
“In a very truthful manner, I’ll give you a candid response of what is my insight and my thinking and again discuss the state of our nation, where we are as a country, what is going on in our country and what we think you people in the diaspora can do better to improve the lives of our people,” Gachagua said.
