Former Agricultural Finance Corporation boss Lucas Meso has officially declared that he will vie for Busia governor’s seat under Azimio La Umoja movement.

Speaking in Butula sub-county yesterday, Meso warned that service delivery in the health, security and education sectors are on the verge of collapsing and required urgent remedies to restore.

“There is nothing positive to talk about Busia. Unless professionals join hands to replace the current administration with a better, organised one ready to serve the people, Busia residents will continue to suffer,” he said.

He further observed that he has been listening to the people of Busia, and it is clear that they want him to vie under the umbrella of Azimio La Umoja movement.
