Members of Embu County Assembly have jetted out of the country for a workshop in Tanzania where they are scheduled to be trained on personal financial management among other skills as the 2022 general elections draw closer, People Daily Digital can authoritatively report.

A reliable source from the county assembly has revealed that all the 33 members of the county assembly will attend the meeting in Tanzania.

“All the 33 Embu MCAs are travelling for the training in Tanzania. The county leadership had approved the budget,” the source who sought anonymity due to the sensitivity of the matter disclosed.

The trip will also facilitate training on capacity building to create confidence in the electorate.

Another source said that the members of the county assembly will also be trained on how to woo voters in the upcoming general elections.

While revealing that the workshop has been fully funded by the assembly in accordance with its regulations, the source said the MCAs are also going to learn etiquette to shape how they should conduct themselves in public.

It is however not clear how long the training will last.
