DP Ruto’s Kiharu, Mathioya tours postponed
Deputy President William Ruto’s tour in Murang’a has partly been postponed.
In a post on Kiharu Member of Parliament (MP) official Facebook account, Deputy President William Ruto said that the tour of Kiharu and Mathioya which was slated for Monday, November 29 had been postponed.
“His Excellency (H.E) William Ruto tour of Mathioya and Kiharu slated for Monday has been postponed to a later date. We will communicate soon. Asanteni sana. We are African and Africa is our Business,” his post reading full.
DP Ruto was to tour Kiharu and Mathioya constituencies.
Mathioya’s Member of Parliament is Peter Kihara Kimani who was voted on a Jubilee ticket in the 2017 General elections.
In the tour that has since been postponed, DP Ruto was to officially open his meeting at Gikuu Primary School at 8am.
He could then visit a number of towns which include; Kambirwa, Kigetuini, Kaweru, Geitwa, Kamune, Kamacharia, Kiriaini, Kairo, Gacharageini, Gikoe and Gitungi.
On Friday, November 26- DP Ruto was in Nyandarua County in an empowerment program aimed at improving the lives of bodaboda riders.
This comes just hours after DP Ruto’s communication team which is led by David Mugonyi said that he will not be attending the Devolution conference that is currently taking place in Makueni Boys’ High School.
Ruto’s speech according to the communication team would instead be read by a representative.
The DP was to officially close the 7th Annual Devolution Conference in Makueni.
On Thursday, November 25- DP Ruto was in Nakuru County where he toured the towns of Molo, Keringet, Elburgon and Mauche.
He also toured Molo town where he met locals from Muchwori, Seguton and Kimalany Shopping Centres in Nakuru County.
DP Ruto who is eyeing the presidency in the 2022 General Elections parted ways with President Uhuru Kenyatta who had promised to support his candidature.
