DCP’s Stanley Kenga vows to bury ODM in Magarini
Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) candidate in Magarini, Stanley Kenga, has vowed to end the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) stranglehold in the constituency.
Speaking on Monday, November 24, 2025, Kenga blamed ODM leadership for overseeing a tenure of non-progressiveness and discrimination under Harrison Kombe, who is seeking to retain the seat he lost after a Nairobi court nullified his election.
“Wale walitangulia wametudhulumu wanafunga milango yao na kutukataza bursay. Mimi niko hapa na nitaweka watu wote pamoja. Tukishirikiana na Bwana Gachagua, Moha Jicho Pevu na bwana Kalonzo Musyoka,”
Kenga also took a swipe at Coastal leaders supporting the ODM candidate, criticising them for prioritising selfish ambitions.
The aspirant promised to usher in an inclusive regime that addresses the needs of all citizens.
“Wale wanaumbia eti tuache Kombe amalize muda wake; amekuwa hapo kwa miaka mitatu bila maendeleo yoyote,” Bwana Kingi na Mung’aro wanasema wanatake Kombe aendelee kwa sababu wo watapoteza kazi zao ikiwa Mtu wa broad-based hatashinda,’, Hawana sera yoyote kwa watu hawa ila sababu za kibinafsi.”
In his final appeal to voters, the former Kilifi County Assembly Deputy Speaker urged them to usher in new leadership by electing him as the next MP.

Kenga is seeking to clinch the seat he narrowly lost to Kombe in the 2022 elections—by just 21 votes—before successfully challenging the outcome, which declared Kombe the winner.
The IEBC had declared Kombe the winner of the 2022 race with 21 votes.
ODM inroads
Kenga’s remarks come after Mombasa governor Abdulswamad Nassir led the contingent of the party leader, Oburu Odinga, Vice-chairperson Gladys Wanga and Secretary General Edwin Sifuna in drumming up support for its candidate in the Gharasi.
In a campaign targeted at the DCP man, Migori County Women representative Fatuma Mohammed and Kilifi Governor Gideon Mung’aro warned the residents of Gharashi against voting for the ally of the former DP in the coming polls.
\“We have that man who used to say that the president should not come to areas such as this, as they did not have shares in government. How come he now knows you exist and even has placed a candidate for his party in the coming by-elections?” She posed.
“I ask you to put him and his candidate to shame in honour of Raila Odinga,” she added.
Kilifi Governor Mung’aro reinforced the sentiments by urging the voters to vote in Kombe as a response to the former DP.
“Gachagua used to say that government is solely for the people with shares. He added that Magarini and Kilifi County’s shares were very minimal. We need to show him that shares of our people have returned Kombe to parliament,” he stated.
