Charles Keter, four other CAS join UDA after resigning

By , February 8, 2022

Just hours after resigning, Devolution Cabinet Secretary Charles Keter has joined Deputy President William Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party.

Keter resigned to vie for the Kericho county gubernatorial position.

Others who joined UDA today are Labour CAS Patrick Ntutu, Petroleum and Mining CAS Engineer John Mosonik, Wildlife Principal Secretary Fred Segor and Tourism CAS Joseph Boinnet.

In his Facebook post, Ruto stated that his political outfit continues to grow stronger by day.

“Growing stronger every day.”

“Welcomed Devolution Cabinet Secretary Charles Keter, Labour CAS Patrick Ntutu, Petroleum and Mining CAS Engineer John Mosonik, Wildlife Principal Secretary Fred Segor and Tourism CAS Joseph Boinnet to the Hustler Nation. Karen, Nairobi County,” he posted.

The development follows President Uhuru Kenyatta’s orders that civil servants eying elective seats in the August polls resign.

In a notice issued by the Head of Public Service Joesph Kinyua, the Head of State had directed those with political ambitions to vacate their offices before February 8.

The law requires government officers eyeing elective seats to vacate office on or before February 9.
