Babu Owino ranked among potential presidential contenders after 2022

Embakasi East MP Paul Ongili alias Babu Owino is among the list of Kenyan political leaders with the most potential of being presidential contenders after 2027.

According to a recent study conducted by the Trends and Insights For Africa (TIFA), Owino came eighth with (2%) in a list of nine leaders led by Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i.

Matiang’i was ranked as the highest leader with mentions of being a future president at (22%) followed by Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua (18%), Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya (12%) and Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho at (8%).

The rest are former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth (8%), NARC Kenya party leader Martha Karua (3%), Muranga Governor Mwangi wa Iria (2)and Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana(2%).
