The recent shift from manual to digital registration of land records has delayed title deeds for more than 2,000 home buyers at the Great Wall Gardens in Athi River.

Subsequently, Erdemann Property Limited, the company that manages Great Wall Gardens has urged the 2,173 buyers to be patient as it finalises the registration of land tittle deeds.

Michael Olanya, the company’s sales and marketing manager, said there have been problems at the Ministry of Lands with the digital registration.

“The management is concerned with the challenges surrounding the lease agreements of Great-Wall Gardens estates in Athi River and we are working on it.

We are only asking our clients to be patient as we sort out this delay,” he said while responding to complaints regardingregistration of title deeds.

He said another issue that has delayed finalisation of the registration of the titles is that the  project was initially under a block one, that is being resolved. However, he said some titles are being processed.

“Already 50 tittles have been registered and the rest would be completed in about three months,” said Olanya.
