Koome expressed her confidence in Oduor’s ability to contribute significantly to the JSC, given her extensive experience in the legal profession and familiarity with the judicial system.

“We have worked closely with her during her tenure as Secretary of Public Prosecutions, where she was actively involved in the activities of the National Council on the Administration of Justice (NCAJ). With her vast experience in the legal profession, she is well-acquainted with the challenges and issues facing our justice system.

“I am therefore confident that her voice, perspectives, and insights will greatly enrich our actions and decisions within the JSC, particularly in promoting the independence and accountability of the Judiciary, and supporting the goal of putting in place a people-centred justice system in Kenya,” Chief Justice Koome stated.

This appointment follows Oduor’s recent swearing-in as Attorney General at State House, Nairobi, where she took an oath to uphold the Constitution and faithfully serve the country.
