Skyward Airlines announces fuel surcharge on tickets amid rising global fuel costs

Skyward Airlines has announced the introduction of a fuel surcharge on all ticket prices effective April 1, 2026, citing the continued rise in global fuel costs.

In a passenger advisory issued on Thursday, March 26, 2026, the airline said the move is aimed at cushioning its operations against sustained pressure in international fuel markets, which have significantly increased the cost of running flights.

“We are writing to keep you informed of an upcoming adjustment to our fares. Effective 1st April 2026, a fuel surcharge will be applied to all Skyward Airlines ticket prices,” the advisory read.

As internationally imported fuel represents a substantial portion of our operating costs for each flight, these conditions have required us to take deliberate steps to ensure we can maintain a sustainable and reliable service,” the advisory read.
