Safaricom announces 3-hour M-pesa outage

Safaricom has announced 3-hour M-pesa outage between Monday September 27 at 11:59pm to Tuesday September 28 at 4am.

The service provider said the outage will allow routine maintenance.

“During the maintenance, all M-pesa services including airtime purchase will be temporarily unavailable,” Safaricom said in a statement.

The telecommunication firm said the timing of the maintenance has been set to allow minimal interference of the M-pesa services.

“We apologise for any inconvenience that may be caused and thank you for your continued support, ” Safaricom said.
