The event will feature additional races, including a 10km race, a fun run as well as a corporate run.
Registration fees are set at Sh1,500 for the half marathon, Sh500 for the 10km and fun run whereas for the corporate teams registration have been capped at Sh50,000.
What’s more, Barasa emphasised the importance of the marathon in uncovering local talent.
He shared, “Busia is home to many talented athletes, and this provides a great platform for them to showcase their skills.”
Preparations are already underway, with organisers working to ensure the event not only identifies future champions but also creates a lasting impact on health awareness in the community.
