Tifa polls: Wajackoyah’s popularity drops by half in July

Roots party presidential candidate George Wajackoyah’s popularity has recorded a 2.2 per cent drop in the latest ratings.

The poll released by Trends and Insights for Africa (TIFA) on Friday, July 29, showed that Wajackoyah’s popularity stood at 1.8 per cent down from 4 per cent.

His rivals Deputy President William Ruto and Raila Odinga however recorded an increase in the ratings.

Ruto who emerged second, recorded a 5.4 per cent increase whereas Raila who trounced other candidates recorded a 4.7 per cent increase.

Agano party presidential candidate Waihiga Mwaure trailed Wajackoyah with 0.1 per cent in the latest results released.

The poll was conducted through face-to-face interviews at a household base with a sample size of 2,056 respondents.

Tifa targetted respondents across central Rift, Coast, Lower Eastern, Mt Kenya, Nairobi, Northern, Nyanza, South Rift, and Western.
