Shock on Sudi as his own poll shows Raila has commanding lead over Ruto

Kapseret Member of Parliament (MP) Oscar Sudi was on Friday, August 5, 2022, left shocked after an opinion poll he shared showed Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition presidential flagbearer Raila Odinga leading as the most preferred candidate.

In the opinion poll, shared by the legislator who is an ardent supporter of Deputy President William Ruto, 57 per cent of the supporters out of the 57,547 participants, preferred Raila to DP Ruto.

At the time of publishing this article, Ruto was trailing Raila after 43 per cent of the participants selected him as their preferred candidate.

The poll only involved the two frontrunners.

Sudi’s poll comes three days ahead of the August polls slated for Tuesday, August 9, 2022.

The two frontrunners are intensifying their last-minute campaigns softening the hearts of voters.

Raila is making his fifth stab for the top job while Ruto is making his first stab, should Raila win, Ruto will be on opposition for the next five years whereas if Ruto wins, chances are that Raila will not vie for presidency again.
