Jubilee’s Samuel Arama re-elected as Nakuru West MP
Nakuru West Member of Parliament Samuel Arama has been re-elected.
Arama, who contested for the seat on a Jubilee party ticket, garnered 34,936 votes in the hotly contested race.
The politician’s close challenger Daniel Kamau of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party emerged second with 29,045 votes.
While announcing the results on Thursday evening, Nakuru West Constituency Returning Officer Moses Ahete thanked the candidates for being calm during the verification process.
“I now declare Samuel Arama the Member of National Assembly of Nakuru West winner after garnering 34,936 of the total votes cast in the constituency, ” Ahete announced.

Flanked by his wife, the MP-elect thanked the residents for handing him another term in office to complete pending projects.
“I am thankful to the people of Nakuru that they have given me another opportunity to complete the projects I had started here and will serve them with equality and fulfil my pledge to them,” Arama said.
