Ruto most popular presidential candidate in Murang’a – TIFA poll
By evans.maritim, July 14, 2022United Democratic Movement (UDA) party leader William Ruto is the most preferred presidential candidate in Murang’a County, a new TIFA Research survey released on Thursday, July 14, has shown.
According to the survey, Ruto would win 62 per cent of the votes in the county compared to Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya candidate Raila Odinga’s 18 per cent.
Prof George Wajackoyah of the Roots Party of Kenya polled four per cent.
Ruto leads Raila in Murang’a

In the governor race, Irungu Kang’ata is leading at 58 per cent, followed by Jamleck Kamau (13%) Wairagu wa Maai (5%) and Irungu Nyakera (3%).
Joe Nyutu would win the county senator seat at 42 per cent followed by Kembi Gitura (9%) and Hellen Kigia Mwangi (6%).
In the Woman Representative position, Betty Maina is leading at 37 per cent followed by Waithira Kibinda (19%), Waithira Muithirania (5%), and Rebecca Kinuthia (4%).
Kenya Kwanza and UDA are the most preferred alliance and party at 60 per cent and 57 per cent respectively.
Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya coalition, Jubilee Party, and ODM polled 18 per cent, 11 per cent, and three per cent in popularity respectively.
