Makau Mutua takes Ndindi Nyoro head on

By , August 6, 2022

A political scuffle has emerged between Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate Raila Odinga’s spokesperson Makau Mutua and Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro.

Mutua was irked by the first-time MP’s “We are Africa and Africa is our Business” cliche that he says doesn’t mean anything.

In a Facebook post, Mutua says Nyoro should retire the statement if he thinks he is a true Africanist.

“The young brash fella @NdindiNyoro keeps on saying “We are African, and Africa is our business.” Exactly what “business” is that? He believes he’s saying something. Dude should retire the line if he thinks he’s being a pan Africanist,” said Mutua.

Odinga’s spokesperson further accused the legislator of being wet behind the ears saying he does not stand out to be a leader.

“He’s wet behind the ears. BURE kabisa,” said Mutua.

Nyoro, an ardent supporter of Deputy President William Ruto has been widely using the proverbial cliche in almost all his Facebook posts which literally means “they” are entitled to be part of the continue and all that happens in it.

The political row emerged only days before Tuesday’s general elections where the two are supporting different presidential candidates.
