The political wrangles among parties in Kenya Kwanza played out when Gatundu South Member of Parliament (MP) Moses Kuria took a swipe at Kiambu Senator Kimani Wamatangi during a joint rally in Kiambu on Saturday, July 9.

Speaking to supporters, Kuria alleged that Wamatangi was only focused on his gubernatorial ambitions and did not care about seeking votes for their presidential candidate Deputy President William Ruto.

“This earth is hard. I have been on the campaign trail with Sen Kimani wa Matangi for 11 hours today. Not once did he ask people to vote for William Ruto,” Kuria lamented.

While attacking Wamatangi, Kuria who is eyeing the Kiambu governor’s seat sold himself as the perfect candidate to better the lives of the Kiambu residents.

Kuria dances as Wamatangi struggles to address supporters

An ugly showdown ensued as Wamatangi attempted to address the crowd.

In a video, Kuria is seen dancing on top of his vehicle as Wamatangi was struggling to address the crowd which was chanting Kuria’s name.

Following the outcome of the events, Wamatangi was forced to end his speech.

The incident comes barely weeks after Wamatangi and Wakenya Tujibebe party leader William Kabogo clashed in a show of might and popularity.

The two traded salvos which almost degenerated into a physical fight.
