Kamket in surprise shift to Ruto camp

By , August 19, 2022

Tiaty MP William Kamket, who retained his seat in last week’s election, has joined a growing list of politicians who have shifted allegiance from Azimio to Kenya Kwanza.

The controversial legislator surprised both friend and foe when he congratulated President-elect William Ruto and praised him on his social media accounts.

The legislator is a close ally of Baringo Senator Gideon Moi who lost the seat to William Cheptumo of UDA in the August 9 election.

According to observers, Kamket is killing two birds with one stone by befriending the new administration and also positioning himself to be the Pokot kingpin after senior community leaders lost their seats.
