Gladys Wanga floors Evans Kidero to win Homa Bay governor seat
By Martin Oduor, August 12, 2022Gladys Wanga of ODM has been elected Homa Bay governor after securing a big win over her closest rival former Nairobi governor Evans Kidero who vied as an independent candidate.
Wanga was declared the winner by Homa Bay county Returning Officer at around 3 am on Thursday morning August 12, 2022.
She floored Kidero by 90,377 votes having garnered 244,599 votes against her closest competitor who managed 154,182 votes.
