AFC Leopards finally picked their first win over Bidco United in the FKF Premier League, securing a 1-0 victory in a closely contested match at Thika Stadium.

Leopards last triumphed over Bidco United in December 2020, back when Bidco was also in the FKF Premier League as debutants. In that encounter, the Big Cats secured a 2-0 win at Moi International Sports Complex, Kasarani.

Since then, Bidco United had gone on to dominate the fixture, winning five times and drawing twice in their last seven meetings with Leopards.

Leopards were eager to bounce back after a narrow 1-0 defeat to Posta Rangers last weekend in Machakos. On the other hand, Bidco United, who had started the season with two draws, were hoping to claim their first win of the campaign.

The match was decided in the final 10 minutes when Ronald Sichenje set up new signing Sydney Lokale for the winning goal. This marked Lokale’s second goal in three appearances for AFC Leopards since his recent move.

Elsewhere, Benjamin Mosha’s late goal rescued a point for Sofapaka FC as they came from behind to hold Mathare United to a 1-1 draw, earning their first point of the season.

Mara Sugar win

Newly promoted Mara Sugar FC returned to winning ways, defeating Nairobi City Stars 1-0 to move up to six points in the league standings.
