KCB Rugby and Kabras Sugar have once again secured their spots in the highly anticipated Kenya Cup final, following thrilling victories in their respective semi-final clashes.

In a tense battle at the KCB Sports Club, the bankers emerged victorious over Menengai Oilers with a hard-fought 21-12 win.

Darwin Mukidza’s early penalty set the tone for KCB, countered by two penalties from Abutwalib Wesonga, putting Oilers momentarily ahead.

However, Vincent Onyala’s crucial try just before halftime gave KCB an 8-6 lead heading into the break. The second half saw both teams trading penalties, with Mukidza and Wesonga adding to their tallies.

With the match hanging in the balance, Bob Muhati’s late try sealed the deal for KCB, securing their spot in the final.

Meanwhile, defending champions Kabras Sugar displayed their dominance with a commanding 37-9 victory over Nondescript at the Kakamega Showground.

Ntabeni Dukisa’s accurate kicking gave Kabras an early lead, complemented by Griffin Chao’s try to extend their advantage.

Despite Nondies’ efforts, including penalties from Nyaenya Moseti, Kabras maintained control with tries from Brian Tanga and George Nyambua.

Chao and Bryceson Adaka added late tries to seal Kabras’ emphatic win and set up a final showdown against KCB.

The stage is now set for an epic clash between two rugby powerhouses, as KCB and Kabras Sugar prepare to battle it out for Kenya Cup glory on April 6 at the Kakamega Showground.
