K24 reporter, producer Khaemba passes on
Mediamax Network Limited family is mourning the sudden death of K24 political reporter and producer Jeff Khaemba.
Khaemba died on Monday night while receiving treatment at the Kenyatta National Hospital. He had been admitted at the hospital for three weeks before being discharged last week.
He fell ill again days later and was readmitted at the hospital but doctors’ efforts to save his life were fruitless.
At the leading television station, Khaemba was responsible for the early morning current affairs shows.
He was the producer of the New Dawn morning show, hosted by Ankey Dorice Ombat.
He joined K24 last year and was a key player in shaping the editorial direction, including selecting guests for various shows and setting the agenda for discussions.
Prior to his tour of duty at K24, he worked for EBRU TV as a political reporter.
The Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology alumnus began his journalism career as a volunteer at Mambo FM in 2012 before joining the university radio station (MMUST FM) in 2013 as a reporter.
In 2015, he joined Magharibi TV as a reporter before crossing over to EBRU a year later.
