AFC Leopards midfielder undergoes surgery
AFC Leopards have been hit with a setback as their midfielder, Musa Saad, is set to be sidelined due to an injury.
Saad recently underwent bankart surgery on his right shoulder, and it’s anticipated that he will miss several matches in the ongoing campaign.

He took to social media to share the news and express his gratitude for the successful surgery.
“Had a successful bankart repair on my right shoulder… We give thanks to the Almighty. Let’s come together for the recovery journey, Fam,” he announced.
Bankart repair surgery is a minimally invasive procedure aimed at restoring shoulder stability in cases of dislocation.
Saad, a South Sudanese midfielder, inked a new one-year deal with FKF Premier League side AFC Leopards in July 2022.

The club made an official announcement about his contract extension. He originally joined the Leopards from Thika United in 2018 and cited his commitment to the club as the reason for the extension, emphasizing his desire to repay the trust the club has placed in him.
Saad, who holds dual citizenship from South Sudan and Kenya, initiated his professional career with the Nairobi City Stars, amassing 24 appearances.
Later, he moved to Thika United, where he made 63 appearances. AFC Leopards acquired Saad’s services in June 2018 when he was just 20 years old, and he signed a four-year contract with the club.
In September 2019, the player also underwent trials with the Spanish club Velez, although the potential transfer did not come to fruition
