Nzoia Sugar, seemingly carrying their form from last season, lead the table with three points. They were the only team to score two goals during the weekend, securing a 2-1 victory over Ulinzi Stars in Bungoma.

Tied on points with Nzoia Sugar are newcomers Muranga Seals, who clinched a narrow victory against Shabana FC at Raila Odinga Stadium to start their top-tier life on a high. Former champions Tusker FC also bagged three points with a solitary-goal win over Bandari.

Defending champions Gor Mahia FC played to a 1-1 draw against Sofapaka, leaving both teams with a single point each.

It’s worth noting that Kakamega Homeboyz and KCB did not face each other as former was away in Libya for a CAF Confederations Cup match against Al Hilal.

Unfortunately, Homeboyz’s continental journey ended with a 4-1 loss in Libya. The Homeboyz-KCB match is anticipated to take place during the midweek.
