Itumbi launches citizen initiative ‘to deny Uhuru, Raila, Kalonzo pension benefits’
Digital strategist Dennis Itumbi has launched a citizen initiative to ‘deny’ former President Uhuru Kenyatta, Azimio la Umoja – One Kenya coalition supremo Raila Odinga and Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka pension benefits.
Itumbi made the announcement through a link shared via his official Twitter account.
According to Itumbi, the link dubbed ‘babatumechoka’ has been prompted by the trio’s ‘continued engagement in destructive politics, incitement and violence’.
“Having read and understood the intention of the promoters of this initiative, I hereby support the Citizens’ Initiative to stop the pension benefits of Mr Uhuru Kenyatta, Mr Raila Odinga and Mr Kalonzo Musyoka, as per law established, for their continued engagement in destructive politics, incitement and violence,” the attachment reads in parts.
For a submission to be successful, one will need to key in their information such as their ID number, name, phone number, county, constituency and wards. They will then append their signature before submitting.

The latest comes barely a day after the government threatened to deal with the opposition leaders.
President William Ruto while speaking in Mwingi, Machakos county, on Thursday, July 13, vowed that he will not allow the trio to continue destabilising his administration.
“We cannot accept anarchy in our country. I want to tell these handshake brothers you are planning to cause unrest and incite the youth to destroy properties because you don’t want us to work together as Kenyans. You want us to remain your slaves, but I want to tell you we will free ourselves as Kenyans,” he stated.
The President also accused Kenyatta of funding Mungiki youths to cause violence during the anti-government protests and warned that he might take action should the demonstrations continue.
“I also want to ask my friend Uhuru to get away from that Mzee (Raila). Stop giving him money to hire Mungiki to destroy Nairobi. You were a president, be a gentleman. We helped you when you were the president. If you don’t dissociate from him, we shall also send you away, just like the riddle man,” the President said.
