Bipartisan talks still on, Malalah says

The Kenya Kwanza Alliance yesterday maintained bipartisan talks have not collapsed but have only been postponed to allow for further consultations among members of the delegations from both parties.

The ruling coalition has accused opposition Azimio la Umoja coalition of curtailing dialogue and urged the opposition to approach the talks with open mind and honesty.

He spoke during the signing of a coalition agreement with Kenya Union Party (KUP) led by former West Pokot Governor John Lonyangapuo, the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Secretary General Cleophas Malalah said the move signaled the ruling colaition’s commitment of creating an enabling environment for the bipartisan talks.

“The coalition agreement with KUP reflects a broader commitment by Kenya Kwanza to bridge ideological differences and work towards a common agenda for the benefit of all Kenyans,” Malalah said. Wading into the agenda fronted by Azimio in the bipartisan talks about the opening of IEBC servers, Malalah said it is the mandate of the IEBC commissioners to authorize CEO of the commission to open the servers
