Sirisia Member of Parliament (MP) John Waluke has pledged his support for President William Ruto’s government.

Speaking in Nakuru county on Sunday, February 12, Waluke who is a member of the Jubilee party stated that he recognises Ruto’s administration and will work with the president moving further.

He stated that he is now born again and can therefore interact closely with the Head of State.

While I was away, I had missed Ruto’s administration. Sasa nimeokoka na dhambi zangu zote zimeisha> Kutoka siku ya leo nataka nifanye kazi na rais William Ruto,” he stated.

This comes barely days after he said he will not attend any Azimio La Umoja rallies being rolled out the country by ODM chief Raila Odinga after joining Ruto and Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua at State House for a meeting with Jubilee MPs.

“Kenya is facing very many challenges ranging from hunger to drought which need urgent attention and not political demonstrations,” he said.

He said being the Chairman of Western Kenya MPs, he was solely focused on promoting peace and unity.

Speaking after attending the meeting with the president, the MP said his electorate needs development and not demonstrations.

Waluke said his Sirisia constituency has myriad problems which he could not be solved through political rallies.

“My people have no water and if this drought persists, they may also lack what to eat so I have no time for Azimio rallies,” Waluke added.
