Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition has asked its supporters to remain calm ahead of the Supreme Court hearing scheduled for Tuesday, August 30, 2022.

In a statement shared by the coalition’s presidential secretariat, the Raila-led team asked its supporters to follow the proceedings of the Supreme Court and not stage vigils as earlier suggested.

“Our supporters are advised to watch the proceedings of the Supreme Court from the comfort of their homes when the court commences hearings,” the statement reads in parts.

The coalition however maintained that the church service still stands as earlier stated.

The changes come barely hours after the coalition asked supporters to stage a seven-day vigil at the Supreme Court and Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) offices countrywide.

“The coalition members will stage a peaceful seven-day vigil at the Supreme Court and IEBC offices countrywide,

“All AZIMIO leaders including MCAs are hereby requested to gather at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Foundation offices in Nairobi county starting 9 am on 28th, August 2022 for a briefing,” the statement reads in parts.
