Leaders in Lagdera, Garissa County have urged the government to move with speed and arrest bandits who killed two people in Banane and stole hundreds of livestock.

During the weekend incident, the bandits believed to be from Isiolo County made away with more than 1,500 goats and 65 camels.

Speaking to the press in Banane town, the leaders called for urgent government intervention.

“I urge the CS Interior to give the matter the seriousness it deserves by deploying enough security officers in all the troubled areas,” area MP candidate Malyun Abdi said.
