Barely 42 hours after receiving a disciplinary letter from world governing body FIFA, expelling them from the top tier in the on going season, Zoo FC Management now wants a date with justice vowing to counter all accusations labelled against them through a strong appeal lodged at the Court of Arbitration in Sports.

In a rejoinder letter the club owned by Kericho-based lawyer Ken Ochien’g has now promised a courtroom battle with tangible facts that would aid their reinstatement to the top tier.

As such Zoo FC is now of the opinion that the ruling was not in tandem with the initial report following two matches investigated last year.

The FIFA Integrity Department thereafter opened a preliminary investigation into the football affairs of the Club.

In the course of conducting its said investigations, the FIFA Integrity Department interrogated a number of current and former players and officials of the club but were unsatisfied with results or evidence.

It read: “FIFA integrity believes that there is not enough evidence to conclusively identify a single specific individual to be held as the sole responsible of the manipulation of the matches under scrutiny, based on the available evidence (namely the performance analysis and intelligence information).”

According to Ochien’g in particular, the ruling was faulty and as such needed a review.

He said: “In essence, it is our belief that the Report was inadequate and its findings doubtful.

We in fact called upon the FIFA Disciplinary Committee to review the facts and the evidence over and above the said Report.”
