Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula has warned Bungoma Governor Wycliffe Wangamati over his alleged cartels who have been ‘awarded’ most of the county tenders and contracts.

Wetangula, who spoke to the press at his Kanduyi home in Bungoma town on Sunday, said the Senate is investigating claims of over Sh100 million fraud in Wangamati’s office.

The Ford Kenya Party leader claims come amid a looming breakout between Wangamati and his party boss.

Wetangula said he has received numerous complaints from residents who have accused him of remaining silent while Wangamati is mismanaging the county.

“The stories I am getting about my county are not good at all. Remember my party formed the government in this county (Bungoma) and we must make sure that our people get the services they deserve We cannot allow the governor to mismanage our county,” says Wetangula adding that he is going to meet with the county MCAs to discuss the claims before taking action.
