Football Kenya Federation Premier League former champions Tusker have completed the signing of Uganda’s left-back George Kaddu.

Kaddu has been given a one-year contract by the Kenyan giants who continue to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2024/25 season. Kaddu joins the Ruaraka club from Ugandan Premier League side Wakiso Giants.

“Tusker FC has completed the signing of two talented Ugandan players, left back George Kaddu.

“Kaddu, a commanding presence on the left side of defence, joins Tusker FC with a strong track record from his recent stint with Wakiso Giants back in his home country.

“Known for his exceptional defensive capabilities and dead ball speciality, Kaddu’s arrival is set to enhance the team’s backline and bring a new level of stability and resilience,” Tusker said as they confirmed the signing.

Apart from playing for the Wakiso Giants, Kaddu, 25, has also been featured for Butega Red Stars and Kiyinda Boys, both of which are in Uganda.

“It is a delight joining Tusker FC and I am really looking forward to doing better here. It is my first time playing outside Uganda and I am ready for the challenge.

“I have been here for a few days and the players have really welcomed me well on the pitch and I am looking forward to getting to know them better and earning results on the pitch as a team,” Kaddu said.

Kaddu’s signing comes after the Brewers confirmed the signing of Boban Zirintusa.

“The much-travelled Zirintusa makes his way to Tusker FC from Tanzania’s Biashara United. Zirintusa’s goal-scoring prowess and dynamic attacking play will add a fresh dimension to Tusker’s offensive strategy,” Tusker said about the striker.

Zirintusa, who arrives from Biashara United of Tanzania Premier League, has also signed a one-year contract and promises to score goals.

“I am delighted to have joined a team of Tusker’s stature. I am here for work and will do my best to score goals and make the fans happy,” the striker said.

Zirintusa, 32, has played for South Africa’s Polokwane City, Buildcon of Zambia, Zimbabwe’s Dynamos FC and Ethiopia Coffee FC.

He has also played for UPL giants Vipers SC, Express FC as well as Busoga United.
