Ulinzi Stars: Boniface Muchiri named MVP in end-season awards

FKF Premier League side Ulinzi Stars Football Club honoured their remarkable players for their exceptional performances during the 2022-23 season.
The awards ceremony, held at the Ulinzi Sports Complex saw Boniface Muchiri feted as the club’s Most Valuable Player for the 2022-23 season.

The dynamic forward has been a driving force for Ulinzi Stars, scoring an impressive nine goals and providing an astonishing 16 assists.
Muchiri’s ability to create opportunities for his teammates and find the back of the net himself has been instrumental in the team’s success throughout the season as they finished fourth in FKF Cup and ninth in FKF Premier League
Bonventure Muchika’s outstanding defensive skills earned him the title of Best Defender. Muchika featured prominently as his side conceded 34 goals during the season.
Staphord Odhiambo’s promising talent was acknowledged with the Most Promising Player award.
Sylvaine Rick’s Omondi was named Best Goalkeeper for his exceptional displays between the posts.
Ulinzi Stars best mid
In the heart of the midfield, defensive midfielder Bernard Ongoma’s exemplary performances earned him the title of Best Midfielder.
Enosh Ochieng, the prolific striker, was celebrated as the Best Striker for his goal-scoring prowess.
Kevin Thairu’s discipline and professionalism on and off the field were recognized, and he was named the Most Disciplined Player.
Ulinzi Stars management recently announced the appointment of Vincent Moriero Odhiambo to lead the side on an interim basis ahead of the new season.
He replaced Bernard Mwalala who quit the club and has since joined KCB Football as head coach.
