Skillful winger Tyson Otieno has completed a move to Kariobangi Sharks from Wazito FC as club movements intensify following the lifting of Kenya’s suspension by world football governing body, Fifa.

Tyso, who last year earned Harambee Stars call-up, is among 18 players signed by Kariobangi Sharks after a mass exodus ahead of the new season. Other notable arrivals in the team include Titus Chepkalum from Nzoia Sugar, Daniel Omondi from Sofapaka and Gedion Ogweno from Kenya Police.

Former league champions Mathare United, despite allegedly having financial challenges, have signed the highest number of players, with the notable arrivals at the Slum Boys camp including Wazito trio of Curtis Wekesa, Mustapha Oduor and Joseph Odhiambo, Sofapaka trio of Reagan Onyango, Victor Kioko and Valdo Madegwa, Lennox Ogutu from Nairobi City Stars and FC Talanta duo of Brian Okeyo and Chris Opondo. The team that is yet to kick-off their season due to a case files in the Sports Disputes and Tribunal, are being trained by veteran tactician Francis Kimanzi. FC Talanta are the other big spenders in the league, bringing in 15 new players, with veteran custodian Jairus Adira being their major catch from Posta Rangers. They have also acquired the services of promising Kibera Soccer FC’s December Kisakah.
