“Dennis is a player of great talent and professionalism, and we believe his addition will significantly contribute to our quest for success. His passion for the game and commitment to excellence align perfectly with our club’s values,” he concluded.
Wanjala, who has been a key player at City Stars, expressed his excitement about joining Tusker FC.
“I am honored to join Tusker FC, a club with a rich history and a winning tradition. I am eager to contribute to the team’s success and connect with the passionate fans of Tusker FC. I look forward to working with my new teammates and giving my best on the pitch,” Wanjala said after signing his contract on Monday morning.
Reflecting on his career, Wanjala added, “Personally, my career has been on a very positive trajectory, looking at how much I have grown since I joined Nzoia Sugar while still in school. This is a big club and a massive achievement for me.”
This signing comes after Tusker FC extended the contracts of two key players, captain Charles Momanyi and Ugandan striker Deogratious Ojok, for another season.
Tusker extension
Momanyi, who joined the Brewers three seasons ago, has been secured for another year. This new deal follows an extension he signed last season.
After the departure of Humphrey Mieno, Momanyi was appointed as the team captain. Despite battling injuries for most of the first half of last season, Momanyi made a strong comeback and became a crucial part of the squad in the final matches, scoring two significant goals.
The additions of Wanjala, along with the contract extensions for Momanyi and Ojok, are expected to strengthen Tusker FC’s squad as they prepare for the upcoming season.
