Tusker FC announce new captains for 2023/24 FKF PL campaign

Tusker FC have named new captains ahead of the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League, set to commence on August 26, 2023.
The club has announced a new leadership lineup with Captain’s role being handed to seasoned defender Charles Momanyi.
Tusker FC replace Mieno
This pivotal position was previously held by Humphrey Mieno, whose contract with Tusker FC came to a close.
Assisting Momanyi in guiding the team to success are fellow defender Michael Kibwage and goalkeeper Brian Bwire.
The club officially introduced their new leadership group in a statement on Tuesday.
“Introducing our new leadership group for the 2023-24 season. Charles Momanyi is our new captain and will be assisted by Brian Bwire and Michael Kibwage,” read a confirmation by Tusker.

Momanyi’s appointment as captain follows his recent contract extension with the club. Joining the team from Gor Mahia in August 2021, Momanyi has etched his name in Kenyan football history with multiple league titles, both with Gor Mahia and Tusker FC.
Tusker FC hand new deal
His three-season commitment to the club further solidifies his dedication to the team’s aspirations.
Tusker FC have bolstered their squad by bringing in Joseph Mwangi, a former midfielder from Nzoia Sugar.
Mwangi’s remarkable performance in the previous season, where he impressively netted 14 goals, captured the attention of Tusker FC. His prowess on the field earned him the fourth spot on the overall Premier League scorers list.
The club’s transfer activity extends beyond Mwangi they have signed James Kibande, formerly of Kenya Police, central midfielder John Byamukama from Gadaffi FC and Fabien Adikiny from Muranga Seal.
Edwin Simiyu has been promoted from Tusker FC’s Youth Team. In preparation for the forthcoming season, Tusker FC have embarked on a preseason tour in Tanzania, where the team is honing their skills and building camaraderie.
