Plans for the second Athletics Kenya (AK) Relay Series at the Nyayo National Stadium on Saturday are complete and participants are expected to start arriving in Nairobi tomorrow.

This will be a continuation of the first leg that started two weeks ago at the same venue.

AK vice-president Paul Mutwii said the federation has reverted to normal events, as opposed to the longer versions that happened during the first leg.

10m, 200m, 400m, 800m and 100m hurdles are the events that will be competed in.

The first leg had eight events, 150m,300m, 500m, 100m hurdles, 1,000m, 1,600m, 4x 200m Relay and 4 x 400m Mixed relay.

“This will be the most important leg in my opinion. It will determine who gets invitation to the third meeting. So once again, I urge athletes to take the event seriously,” said Mutwii.
