Successful CHAN hosting

The recognition comes amid Kenya’s successful hosting of the 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN), which drew praise for its organisation, infrastructure, and vibrant fan engagement.

The award also comes as Kenya gears up to co-host the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), a tournament that is expected to further elevate the country’s profile in continental football and provide a platform for local talent to shine on a global stage.

Just like CHAN, the much-anticipated 2027 AFCON will also be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
