Posta Rangers pulled off a surprising victory as they thrashed big-spending Kenya Police FC 3-0 in a match held at the Police Sacco Stadium in South C.

Kenya Police approached this match on the back of a goalless draw against Kariobangi Sharks, eager to secure a win and showcase their new signings, including notable names like Tito Okello, Kenneth Muguna, and Tyson Otieno, raising the hopes of their fans.

They wasted no time in asserting their dominance, with Curtis Wekesa scoring an early goal just six minutes into the game to take a 1-0 lead.

They maintained this slim advantage until the final quarter of the match when Jackson Macharia, a former Tusker FC playmaker making his debut, found the net, extending the lead to 2-0.

Kenya Police concede third

In the dying moments of the match, the Mailmen secured another goal, sealing a comprehensive victory. With this win, Posta Rangers earned three points and now sit at four points after two rounds of matches.

Their goal difference propelled them to the top of the table, and notably, they have yet to concede a goal this season.

Meanwhile, Muhoroni Youth FC and Nzoia FC played to a 1-1 draw in a match held at Muhoroni Stadium. Nzoia Sugar took the lead in the 38th minute thanks to a goal from Dan Wafula, but Muhoroni managed to find an equalizer from the penalty spot just before halftime.

With two draws this season, Muhoroni currently occupies the seventh position on the league table.
