Posta Rangers’ Pamzo warns AFC Leopards ahead of FKF Premier League showdown

Posta Rangers head coach Sammy ‘Pamzo’ Omollo has warned AFC Leopards of their threat ahead of the Football Kenya Federation Premier League match.

Rangers and Ingwe have been scheduled for a showdown at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Friday, April 18, 2025. Rangers enjoy a fully fit squad, and that means they are in good shape to fight for a win and claim crucial points.

“Our preparations have been very good, one of the best this week, and the players have responded very well. I also look at the injuries or even sicknesses, and we are very fortunate that no player has a major injury or knock,” Pamzo said, as quoted by a local publication.

The former Shabana FC head coach also revealed what his players must do in order to stop the local heavyweights.

“We have a very good history against AFC Leopards. We’ve had good results against them, and I’m looking forward to more of the same on Friday.

“I want my players to push themselves and work hard. For us to get the three points, we have to dig deep. We know AFC have a strong fan base that gives them good morale support, but we are prepared for that.

“We just have to be cool and do the right thing from the moment the game starts,” he added.

15th on the log, Rangers are in a situation that could see them join the relegation dogfight easily. Pamzo said the poor form they have endured could have a devastating effect on his players’ mental strength.

“I have been working on their mental strength because sometimes in football, if a player loses games continuously, morale tends to go down. I’ve worked hard to ensure they are strong both mentally and physically.

“Those I see, the confidence has gone down; I’ve been talking to them. And those I feel are overconfident, I’ve also been engaging them. The confidence is there; that is something I always instill in my players. I believe if we bring the confidence tomorrow, we will post good results,” he concluded.
