By , March 9, 2024

Teen sensation Rogers Obusu Wasega, along with keeper Byron Owino and forward Brian Mose, return to bolster the Nairobi City Stars squad as they gear up to face Bidco United in a crucial 24th-round clash of the 2023-24 FKF Premier League season.

The match is scheduled to kick off at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at the Machakos Stadium.

Having missed the previous game against Kariobangi Sharks, all three players are now back in contention and have earned their spots in the 20-man squad for the upcoming encounter.

Wasega and Mose step in to fill the void left by centrebacks Timothy Muganda and Sosthenes Idah, both serving suspensions due to accumulated cautions, while Owino replaces Elvis Ochoro in the goalkeeper position.

Unfortunately, key players such as Andrew Kisilu, Pius Omachi, Edwin Buliba, and Kelvin Etemesi remain sidelined due to injury or illness. However, Etemesi is nearing full recovery and is expected to return to action soon.

City Stars vs Bidco

The match against Bidco United marks the fourth home game for Nairobi City Stars against their opponents and the eighth overall meeting between the two clubs in the topflight league.

Although Bidco United hold a slight advantage in past encounters, with two wins out of three at City Stars’ home ground, the upcoming match presents an opportunity for redemption and a chance to level the playing field.

Both teams enter the fixture on the back of draws in their previous outings. Nairobi City Stars managed a goalless stalemate against Kariobangi Sharks, while Bidco United settled for a 1-1 draw against Sofapaka.
