NSL wrap: Leaders Naivas, Mathare United suffer defeats, Kajiado win big
Naivas FC, league leaders, faced a stunning 4-3 defeat against Rainbow FC in a National Super League (NSL) early kickoff clash at Mpesa Foundation on Saturday.
Vincent Likare initially put Naivas ahead with Robert Ponda's assist, but Tyron Kariuki swiftly equalized for Rainbow.
NSL lead for Rainbow
In the second half, Tom Wainaina and Kariuki struck again, extending Rainbow's lead to 3-1, before Ali Salum added a fourth. 
Despite Likare's second goal and Eliud Lokuwam's late penalty, Naivas couldn't salvage the match.
Despite the loss, Naivas maintain the top spot with 42 points, while Rainbow climb to ninth with 27 points.
Meanwhile, Mathare United missed a chance to claim the league lead, suffering a 1-0 defeat against Luanda Villa at Mumboha Stadium.
Moses Masinde's early goal secured the victory for the hosts, placing them on 28 points, while Mathare United remain second with 40 points.
Elsewhere, Mulembe United secured a vital 1-0 win over Darajani Gogo, thanks to Amos Kigadi's 24th-minute goal, keeping their survival hopes alive.
Kajiado shine in NSL
Kajiado FC delivered a dominant performance, thrashing Mombasa FC 4-1 at Ildamat Stadium. Sahir Abdiaziz opened the scoring in the 19th minute, followed by Peter Wafula's goal.
Erick Ombija then netted twice, sealing maximum points for Kajiado despite Joel Kihara's consolation goal for Mombasa Stars.
With this victory, Kajiado move out of the relegation zone, while Vihiga Bullets, sitting in 18th place, will look to respond on Sunday. 
In another match, Dimba Patriots and Nairobi United settled for a 2-2 draw at the Wolves Den in Kajiado.
Henry Omolo and Evans Malachi scored for Nairobi, but they missed the chance to close the gap on the top two teams, Naivas FC and Mathare United, as they dropped two crucial points against Dimba Patriots.
