Nairobi United FC picked up their second win in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League with a 2-0 win over Kakamega Homeboyz on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega.

Enock Machaka struck twice in the first half to inspire the Naibois to the victory as Homeboyz tasted their first league loss in FKF PL this season.

Nicholas Muyoti’s charges approached the tie on the back of a surprise 1-0 defeat to Bidco United but seemed to find their mojo on enemy territory.

Machaka stormed the visitors into the lead after 27 minutes with a well-taken strike.

The midfielder, acclaimed for his long-range stunners, doubled the lead in the 33rd minute as visitors insured their solitary goal cushion.

Homeboyz’s quest for a comeback saw Patrick Odhiambo effecting an early change in the 40th minute as Oliver Majaka entered the fray for Chris Masinza.

The host’s clear-cut chance fell to Otieno whose hard shot only troubled Bernard Jairo in goal, while Boniface Onyango’s header from the resultant corner kick missed its target.

With the win, Naibois picked up their second win in the top-flight league, moving up to fifth on the log with six points after three games, following their promotion to the FK PL last season.

The KPL newbies opened their top-flight debut on a winning note against Mara Sugar before Bidco United handed them a rude awakening in a1-0 defeat.

Homeboys, who have played thrice, dropped to tenth with four points from the opening three games.

The victory came as a morale-boosting result against a side that sought to start its home campaign on a high after ending the previous season among the league’s most improved teams in fourth.

Homeboyz’s league opener saw the side battle to a share of spoils against Mara Sugar.
