Muthaiga club extend reign as Tannahill Shield champ

Muthaiga Golf Club extended their reign as champions of the Tannahill Shield tournament hosted by Royal Nairobi Golf Club during the Easter holidays period.

The prestigious club emerged as the top club among nine teams who played in this year’s edition after bagging a total of 53 points from four rounds, five more than last year.

This year’s tournament was characterised by Muthaiga’s dominance, packed with amateur stars such as Safari Tour winner Taimur Malik and national junior golf team captain Njoroge Kibugu.

Hosts Royal Nairobi Golf and Railway Golf Club scored 10 points each in the final round to come in joint second with an overall 36 points while regional team Western took fourth place with a point lower at 35 points. Vet Lab and Karen Country Club tied at the bottom with 23 points.
