Newly promoted Murang’a Seal put an end to their two-match losing streak in the FKF Premier League by defeating Nzoia Sugar with a lone goal at Sudi Stadium in Bungoma.

Murang’a Seal, the runners-up in the 2022/23 National Super League, entered the match on the back of losses to Posta Rangers and FC Talanta. Their opponents, Nzoia Sugar, had also struggled to secure a win since the beginning of the season.

With this victory, Muranga Seal has now accumulated nine points in the league standings. Their next match will be against struggling Sofapaka FC, who have yet to secure a win this season.

Murang’a seal slot under threat

If Gor Mahia, Tusker FC, and KCB fail to earn points in their upcoming matches, Muranga Seal could find themselves in the second position heading into the new week.

On Sunday, October 1, a match between Bandari and Kakamega Homeboyz will take place at Mbaraki Stadium.

Bandari, currently in sixth place, will aim to boost their morale with a victory, while Homeboyz hope to secure a win and climb the league standings.

AFC Leopards are currently in 13th place and will be under pressure to secure a victory after recording three draws and one loss so far.
