Mbarak vows to drastically change football landscape if elected FKF boss

Bandari official and former Kenya Football Federation (KFF) vice president Twaha Mbarak has vowed to transform Kenyan football after entering the race to contest for the presidential seat during Football Kenya Federation (FKF) elections later this year.

In a statement, Mbarak said: “I wish to officially announce my entry into the forthcoming FKF presidential race,” adding: “I intend to drastically alter the football landscape throughout the entire nation to guarantee a consistent supply of top players for the men’s and women’s national teams.” Mbarak added: “We are prepared to work with all parties involved in football to come up with creative ideas for turning around the fortunes of our national teams on the international.

“We will appoint a new technical team that can infuse our football with innovative ideas. I firmly believe that we are capable of providing our teams with all the necessary assistance to reach new heights and guarantee their sustainability.

” Mbarak has joined a growing list of presidential aspirants, who are keen to unseat incumbent president Nick Mwendwa, including former FKF boss Sam Nyamweya, Sam Ocholla, Omondi Aduda, Hussein Mohammed, Tawfiq Balala, former Cecafa Secretary General Nicholas Musonye, former international player Sammy ‘Owino’ Kempes and Tom Alila.
