Maseno Dukes, Hashiras locked in a fierce battle for Lukos Energy league supremacy

Maseno Dukes walloped Siaya Westside 62-42, while Hashiras narrowly defeated Andaki 36-35 in a gripping second leg of the Lukos Energy Basketball League (LEBL) games, as the victorious teams tied in points in a fierce battle for league standings.

Hosts Maseno Dukes, buoyed by the presence of key players Allan Kibira, Melvin Dianga, Julius Mugendo, Andrew Okello and towering Charles Anjeho, overcame initial resistance from visiting Siaya Westside players to win their second leg game in Kisumu City, tying in points with league leaders Hashiras, according to the LEBL Victoria Conference standings released yesterday by league coordinator Brian Lusaga.

The victors, Maseno Dukes, won the game played at Jomo Kenyatta Sportsground with a score of 62-42.
Allan Kibira topped the score chart with 20 points, registering 12 rebounds and initiating 4 assists, while Siaya Westside counterattacked, netting 17 scores through Dennis Odhiambo, who made 8 rebounds and facilitated 7 assists.
